Welcome to the 2022 Spring Coaches Registration

Being a Head Coach or Assistant Coach

Being a manager or coach requires time, patience, and basic knowledge of the game of baseball. 

As a manager or coach, you have more interaction with young people than anyone else in MAALL. Therefore, it is important that you understand the goals and virtues of the Little League program in order to effectively communicate them to your players. They include:

  • Has fun playing the game
  • Feels like an important part of the team regardless of performance
  • Learns "life lessons" that have value beyond the playing field
  • Learns the skills, tactics and strategies of the game and improves as a player.

How coaches are selected?

The MAALL Board of Directors selects coaches for each division from interested and approved volunteers.  All coaches must submit the required volunteer documentation to be considered.


  1. Register as a Coach through MAALL website.
  2. Fill out Volunteer Application Form (Attached below, Send to MAALL Safety Director).
  3. Provide a photo copy of a valid government issued photo ID (Send to MAALL Safety Director).
  4. Get Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. certified (Send to MAALL Safety Director).
  5. Get CPR certified (MAALL provides certification course for coaches)
  6. Have performed a criminal background check (Performed by MAALL through Little League).
  7. Read, Acknowledge, & Abide by the MAALL Coaches Code of Conduct (Attached below,, acknowledgement on registration).

All volunteers must be approved by the MAALL Board of Directors prior to participating in league sanctioned activities as a league volunteer. Criteria for approval includes the ability to instill the goals/virtues mentioned above and adhere to MAALL's Coaches Code of Conduct.

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, coaching history, and sign up for participation. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.
